My 2 Year Bandiversary

How quickly we forget...  all along, I was thinking that February 22nd was my 2 year anniversary of being banded... then I went back and looked, and it was the 20th!  Whoops!  So, it's been 2 years and 2 days... and what a difference those 2 years have made...

There are so many things I am grateful for, and that have changed... and I've been thinking a lot about them lately.  I will be trying to write a bit more about those changes, but this weekend was (for whatever reason) an emotional one for me - obviously the baby hormones are going crazy, 'cause I was in tears a few different times for no apparent reason.  Every time I tried to start posting, I would start crying... SO... more to come on my 2-year-out thoughts... but in the meantime, I can definitely say that getting banded was THE. BEST. DECISION. I. EVER. MADE...!!!  Here are a few highlights:

• 80+ pounds lost
• More self-confidence gained than I realized was missing
• More inches lost than I remembered to count (note for new bandsters:  keep track of that!!!)
• I shrunk from a size 26-28 at my highest, to a size 14-16 on top and 16 on bottom at my lowest (pre-pregnancy)
• Running my first 5K, 8K and 10K races (and finishing them!)
• Getting pregnant a LOT faster with #2 than #1, and seeing that this 2nd pregnancy has been a lot more comfortable than the first one was so far
• Finding out I had the best support network in the world, between my friends and family, and the wonderful world of Bandsters...

So, thanks everyone for a great 2 years so far... I can't wait to see where the next 2, 5 and 10 take me!
