Hard to believe, but 6 weeks post-delivery is next Tuesday and I have my appt. to be "cleared" on Monday... I was supposed to get my first fill under fluoroscopy (since October when they unfilled me) on August 2nd, but they had to change it due to a scheduling conflict and now it is on Tuesday! YIKES! It was either that or wait until the end of August, and I don't want to wait... I need to dig out my books & notes from the surgery and start studying up again on all the "to do's" and the "don't do's"!
So in an effort to start preparing, does anyone have any go-to favorite protein suggestions that are new(ish) in the last year or so??? I figure I have about 25-30 pounds to lose to get back to my lowest point (198) and then from there, would like to lose another 20 or so... I am not putting any formal number goals out there - but would like to see if I can be back in the clothes that are in my closet by the end of the year... Which means that I need to start walking/running again too as soon as I am cleared.
I signed up for a 10K in late October, so hopefully that will provide me some much-needed motivation, and I am going to start looking for a 5K at the end of September to work toward. It feels good to start thinking about getting back on the band-wagon... definitely a shift from the last 9 months, but both were for great reasons!

Welcome back to Bandland, BOOB Roomie! Are you looking for food ideas or protein supplement ideas?
I do the protein shots (like shot glasses - not injections. lol). I have a REALLY hard time choking down the shakes.
I'm looking for a bit of everything - it's been so long since I've used any kind of protein supplements or things like that, so any recommendations are welcomed!
Sarah, I like Slimfast 123 bars. They've got lower sugar than a lot of the other bars, but not as much protein as a sport bar. I also recently found these: Luna Chocolate Dipped Coconut Bars which look delicious. And I know people who swear by Click, which is a coffee flavored protein drink in different flavors (I've got a link to the mocha flavor in the shop on my website)
