Non-Scale Victories (NSV's)

Happy President's Day everyone!  I'm off today, and Lu is sick - so she's on the couch watching Mickey, and I thought I'd jump on my blog!  Lots of "cleaning" around the house to do today, just to get myself ready for Friday.  It's almost like nesting - just this urge to get things in order.  Kind of weird!  I didn't have this same urge when I was going to get my gallbladder out. Almost like subconsciously I want to go into this new part of my life with some order (note the operative word SOME).
I can't wait for the Non-Scale Victories to start.  I am certainly having scale victories (down 12 pounds since starting a few weeks ago) but it is the more physical and emotional victories that I am looking forward too this morning.
What specific non-scale victory am I talking about???  Well, perfect example - my feet hurt.  I mean REALLY hurt.  The sides of my feet feel like they are fractured, and putting weight on them, especially first thing in the morning really hurts.  Lots of hobbling around for about half-an-hour until they numb up...  And I have always had issues with my heels cracking - and given the weather, they are really bad right now.
So that is an example.  I know I'll start getting those victories soon!  Have a great day.

I love the term Non-Scale Victories. I have been at a plateau for nearly 2 months...My NSV in this plateau has been the tightness of my body (quite happy with my bum!LOL) and the way clothes fit better--thanks to weight lifting. I may not be loosing pounds but my body is still changing for the better-- NSV!!!
