cycle = tightness?

Probably a TMI post... - so I finally, after 15 months, am experiencing (I think?) some of the issues that come along with having your cycle, i.e. (.) on the band... because up 'till now I never had one - basically the form of BC I was on (Mirena IUD) caused me not to have a cycle, and now I do because it is out, (a whole other story - maybe for Chicago in September)... and while I'm not sure it is truly a "real" cycle yet, I am WAY tighter than I've been for a while... wondering if that is why? So, tell me - even though I'm about 15 months out from being banded, do any of you get tighter when you're cycling?!?!? What else do you experience band-wise around the TOTM? Is this now something I need to pay attention too? Who woulda thunk it... yet another new experience! Hmmm.... something else to think about.

TMI: I have an IUD, so I don't get a period, but about 2 months into having the band, I suddenly got sort of one (the annoying spotting epidemic).

At my last check up, the nurse asked me (when I said that my port felt sensitive when she was feeling for it) if I was on my period. She said the port sensitivity seems to increase during a woman's cycle, so I can guess that there have to be other side effects as well.

Like we needed another problem to go along with the monthly "gift."

Definitely get tighter at that time. I have the Mirena and even though I get a light (.) only every couple of months, I still am tight at that time. I can definitely tell a difference. Its the same difference I feel when I'm under a lot of stress also. I haven't had restriction from stress (since I made the big decision to leave my job) but its definitely there.
Hey and I completely can relate to being lazy. Thank goodness its not permanent and we can wake up or find motivation to get back on the wagon of tracking calories and working out. And you get to start over at the NEW place you're in. You're not back to you old beginning weight! I think that's exactly how this is supposed to work. You'll find your motivation and you'll get back to the tracking/work out place!

My band becomes a vice during my period. Seriously, had a fill on Monday was completely fine, feeling good restriction but nothing crazy. Got my period Friday, got stuck on a sip of iced coffee. I have to be really careful with what I eat during my TOTM. But I typically drop some good weight with it, so I don't mind!

Cannot wait to meet you in Chicago my friend!! xoxo

I have just started to experiance this since my last fill two weeks ago. I got my (.) on Wednesday last week and I could not eat my breakfast or dinner! Lunch seemed to go down okay, though - weird, I know. It took me over an hour to eat two scrambled eggs. Yesterday was my last day and this morning I am feeling much better. But like Jen said, I managed to lose 4 lbs this week - it has to because I could really eat anything! <3

No extra tightness at that time. Actually, I kinda wish that was the case....
