liquid, liquid... how do I love thee??? let me count the ways...

  1. I pee a lot more
  2. I lose more weight since I am not actually eating anything
  3. ....
OK - honestly, there aren't THAT many ways I can count other than quicker weightloss that I really enjoy... I went to Jeanine, my NP today, and she "tweaked" me... I got a smidge added (medical term, you know) and am back up in the 5.5 cc range... It's nice that I've built a relationship where it is a "hey sarah- how was vacation?!?!" in the hall vs. a blank stare... She did, however, make it VERY CLEAR that I was to be on liquids ALL WEEKEND... apparently they've had some issues with fillings on Friday being too tight, and the ER really screwing up the un-fills... so she basically said that if anything happens, as long as I can keep down water, that I should NOT go to the ER. I'm not thinking I'm going to have any problems, but am not particularly looking forward to only liquid. Oh well. Maybe I can now project myself firmly into the 190's!

On un-related-to-the-band-front news, Lucia is going to my MIL's tomorrow for 4 nights / 5 days which she is very excited about... Unfortunately for her, she has a KILLER yeast infection (poor thing) which we ended up going to the KidMed urgent care tonight for. Basically, they gave me the equivalent of a doped-up diaper rash cream to use with the lotrimin, but man, I feel sorry for her... she's wiped so hard (b/c of the itch) that she's torn the skin and you can just tell it hurts... thankfully my MIL totally understood when I called her to explain the "girl issues" this morning and will be making sure that Lu gets the creams provided... (sigh...) I guess I didn't realize the girl stress would start at age 6!
~~~
I've started back running - and will head out tomorrow or Sunday again... looking forward to getting back in a routine to get to my 37 miles before I turn 38 in November!
Sorry about the weekend of liquids but fingers crossed on the weight loss. Yeast infections suck! My niece loved them all the time when she was little. *Maria*-Blogger from "This one time at BAND Camp..." Check out my blog at mybigfatbandgeeklife.blogspot.com
It was nice that your NP gave you a heads up. Sorry to hear about Lucia. Poor little thing. Hopefully the cream helps.
Ouch to poor little Lucia. They're hard enough to cope with when you're an adult let alone a kid.
Sounds like you have a good NP. We need to keep the lines of communication open.
I hope the fill is exactly what you need! Poor kid with the yeast infection. Has she been on antibiotics at all? They can do a number on your system. Does she eat much yogurt? That can help, and also taking probiotics. Check the health food store - the probiotics should be refrigerated. Also, yeast thrives on sugar, so if she is open to it, cutting the carbs in her diet can help. Good luck and I hope she feels better!
Just wanted to add my two cents - but someone already beat me to it!! I have a girlfriend who has recurrent infections since childhood - and she eats yogurt DAILY!!! she mixes it in smoothies, adds fruit, uses it in dip with ranch mix, etc. - because it is the only thing that keeps them at bay for her. She also doesn't wear anything but cotton undies - not even a mix of other materials anymore. Hope this helps!
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about Lucia being sick! I can't imagine how a six year old handles a yeast infection, ugh! I hope she feels better soon and is able to enjoy the trip to grandma's!
Great to hear about the running! <3
