Almost (?) 200 posts, comfort food & and an unexpected NSV

Wow... so I just decided to blog about dinner and a VERY unexpected NSV, and I saw that I've hit 200 posts on my dashboard, but then my side ticker says 197.... Huh! Who woulda thunk it?!?!? I'm very glad that I'm being consistent for posting, because honestly, it keeps me true to myself. So happy either 197 or 201 to me! Close enough anyways! As for comfort food.... we made a REALLY yummy pot roast last night in the crock pot - you have to love the crock pot. It is one of those appliances, that should it ever go under, I will go out that DAY and buy a new one. Especially this time of year. The roast was great - we cooked it for over 9 hours, so it was falling apart which was great for me from a band-perspective. We didn't put the veggies in until the last 3 hours though and they could have used a few more hours... next time we'll put them in sooner. Note to self and Mom&Dad for when you're here next week, 'cause we'll be having this again! :-)

On the NSV front, I went to the mall yesterday to finish up a little xmas shopping, and stopped into J.Jill. I love their clothes... but honestly, I am afraid to try their bottoms on. So I picked out a present for my sister-in-law, and was checking out and asked the lady what sizes their bottoms went up to. She said 18. I said, "Oh wow! I might actually fit into those now, since I'm down from a size 26... I seem to be fitting in about an 18 now" She said (completely deadpan / honestly) "Are you kidding me? What size are you? I would have pegged you for a 10/12 at the most!" I almost cried! I want to truly believe that they weren't desperate for a sale (even though the cynical side of me thinks that is what they are paid to say), but even if she lied (a little bit), it made my day! To be honest, I still didn't have the courage to actually try on their clothes - I felt so out of place in there! But, maybe after the holidays I will find the courage to go in there and see what bottoms are on sale!!!

This morning - another great sight... 210.4 on the scale! Whoo Hooo! 2.4 more pounds 'till 25% lost and then 2.9 pounds to 70 lost! Then I'll be in the single digits on my way to Onderland!!!

Lookin good! I hear you with the crock pot. I had that happen to me earlier in the year, mine bit the dust and I ran right out and bought a new one that very day. Thanks for sharing, it helps me so much.

oh man I have this same fear. I think I am afraid to try some of these smaller items on bc what if they dont fit or something? It is really irrational but come one! It is hard for us ya know? I think it has to do with the mind catching up to our weight loss. And for me, if they wouldnt have fit, I would have been bummed and grumpy!

I just stashed my slow cooker (same thing I think) back in the cupboard - with summer I won't use it as much but come winter again that little sucker will be fired up and used again.

Great NSV, Sarah. Regardless of whether you tried anything on, the very fact you were 'thinking' about it shows progress. You might just surprise yourself next time you venture in (like myself and Crossroads - remember that post??) Such excitement then!!
