Little sleep, but LOTS of smiles!

I'm tired. Lucia hasn't slept well for over a week, which means we don't sleep well. Last night sucked - she was awake from 1 to 3, which means we were too... sigh. Thank God I'm off this week!

I may have mentioned, but this week my goal was to start cleaning out. Shed all that extra "stuff" we have, similar to me shedding this weight. So, I've been trying hard, a bit at a time to weed out, and today is my bedroom/laundry/closet day. I took everything out of the closet that has gotten too big, and put it in "the pile" which is once again about two plastic crates full of clothes. Then I started trying on clothes from the "doesn't-quite-fit-yet" box. Although exhausted, I have to say, that this exercise gave me a boost of energy and now I am ELATED! I am solidly fitting into a size 16 or XL bottom now... YAY! Never thought I'd see that day again. Of course, as is the case with women's clothes, some things that are a size 20 are tight - if only the sizes were the same! But, I was able to get into both Talbot's and Coldwater Creek size XL and 16. There are a few pieces that are still a tad snug, but they buttoned/zippered/or both! And, there was a pair of navy blue capri pants that I bought as a "goal" before I had surgery... guess what? They fit! And look great. In fact, I don't think they're going to fit by summer when I can actually wear them! Good problem to have! And best of all, a pair of Gap low-ride jeans that don't have a tag in them fit (I think they are a 16, and I think Amy might have sent them to me?) - in fact, Dennis's comment about how I looked in them was great, but not fit to put in the blog!!! So, it's been a good day, for one that is running on fumes!!! Now to finish hanging things up and cleaning up the room! Then a short nap... ahhhh.... :-)
