OK - I've shared before with ya'll that I love a good bargain. And, since I'm going through clothes much more quickly than before WLS, I definitely am a fan of consignment, Goodwill, etc... for my "until-I-get-to-goal" clothes. Because, honestly? I like good quality clothes. I just don't want to pay for them. At least not until I know I'll get to wear them for a while... So, this past weekend at the wedding, I noticed that 2 of the 3 pairs of pants I brought are getting too big again. YAY! They are pants that I bought this summer in Sacramento with my friend at
Thrift Town that were way too tight then but too loose now. Again, YAY! So yesterday during lunch, I went over to Goodwill (right next to where I work, so it is VERY convenient) and I definitely scored!!! Here is what I got...
- Talbot's long camel skirt - $2.50
- Dressbarn 3/4 sleeve work shirt - $4.99
- Isabella Bird sweater - $4.99
- Cute Worthington purple fitted shirt - $2.50
- Lilac tank (perfect to wear with a sweater to work) - $2.50
- Dressbarn calf-length printed skirt - $4.99
- Elizabeth silk calf-length printed skirt - $4.99
- Ann Taylor lined trousers - $4.99 (10 lbs to go 'till they fit)
- Preston & York lined trousers - $2.50 (10 lbs to go 'till they fit)
Less than $35 total for 9 new pieces! I love a good bargain!!! Now to get them washed / drycleaned and start wearing them!

Yippee for your NSV!! (non-scale victory)You are a great shopper, what a good idea! I've never been much of a thrift store shopper--probably because I never found my size, but I think that is an awesome idea. Way to go!
Wow! I am gonna be taking myself to Goodwill...awesome idea!
Far out.. do we now call you 'Sarah - Queen of the Bargain Hunters'? Nice going lol and you've spurred me on to visit my thrift shop again - now if I can just get past that old clothes smell...

Hey and Happy Birthday - I'm sorry I missed that post!
And I realized I wento to BG Christmas they day after you did! My family and I went on Sunday and you went Saturday. Small world!
Keep up the great work - I've stalled but if I can get below 206, I'll break a new place I've not been in years! You are doing so well! Congrats!
Wow, sweet deals! I also am a bargain shopper and believe it or not I am looking forward to losing weight so I can buy clothes from second hand stores. The Goodwill near my parents house is full of great stuff (they live near Microsoft...so all the rich techie people donate to this one) and I've been looking forward to being able to eventually get stuff there!
Wow! You got some incredible deals on great brands. I'm impressed!

I have loved Goodwill for years but lately I can't find anything. Gotta keep trying though.
