Guess what???

OK - this may not be a huge deal, but it is to me - because I RAN A MILE, STRAIGHT, WITHOUT STOPPING THIS MORNING! I've been able to do 6/10, 7/10, even 8/10... but never quite made it to a mile. I did this morning! Whoo Hoo!

Ukrops / Monument Ave 10K training schedule

The picture above is a scanned copy of my training schedule for the 10K race... I was supposed to do a mile yesterday, but never got around to it so I did it this morning instead. Hopefully this is helpful to some of you who are training for other races - it is for "novice" runners... enjoy!

Congrats!! I am trying to start the C25K program, but I haven't been able to finish the first week yet. However, since I haven't run in years (at least 15) I figure getting through 2/3 of the runs was great. It is great to see people make this milestones. It makes me feel like I just might be able to!

That is such a great accomplishment!! I just started week three of my C25K program and it requires me to run for three minutes straight a few times - yeah, I though I was going to die! I can't wait until I can run for a mile!

Too Cool. You will definitely see your body re-shape itself over the next couple of months!

Excellent! I remember when I was in my 20's weighed 140 and ran my first mile. It was awesome. Couldn't imagine trying it again, but you have inspired me. Good job!

Seriously, you are my new hero. I can't even imagine myself doing something like this. I think it is actually quite amazing that you have redefined not only what you look like, but more importantly how you live and who you are. You are my new hero!

That, my beautiful friend, is amazing!!!!

I feel like I'm gonna die if I "run" 10 minutes straight so I can't even fathom a whole mile. Hopefully soon I will join you there but as one new runner to another I do know what a HUGE accomplishment that is and have to give you mad props for that!!!

Luv, B
