an unplanned NSV
This was one I definitely wasn't planning on... but always subconsciously wanted to do... I went to the driving range today with a girlfriend of mine and hit a bucket and a half of golf balls! Doesn't sound like much, but something that honestly I've put off for a while. A few years ago, Dennis gave me a set of clubs for Christmas (I thought it was a vacuum cleaner before I opened it, lol)... I've had them for 3 years now - and just used them today. In fact, they still had the plastic on them when I took them out a few hours ago!!! A girlfriend of mine, Virginia, loves to golf, and finally we found a time to go to the driving range together. I did pretty well, if I do say so myself! She is a great instructor, and I hit 90% of the balls, used almost all of my clubs (she explained the science behind each one) and after I finished the large bucket, I was having so much fun that I got another small bucket! Of course, I am HURTING now, between the run yesterday and this - lots of Tylenol tonight... but, the best part is knowing that a year ago, there was NO WAY I would have even tried this for fear of embarrassing myself and not being able to physically manage it. Very cool!

Duh - I mean fun day. Can't type tonight. I've got a big meeting tomorrow on my mind that I'm not looking forward too. Maybe I should just read the blogs tonight and not try to comment. Might be safer for everybody.
lol Ouch to the underwire bra. But go you, Sarah. Doing something we never would have contemplated before due to our weight is an unreal NSV. I had one last night too, (or at least the thought of one...) we were with friends and they were talking of scuba diving. No way would I have gotten into a wet suit in earlier days, now I can't wait!! xxx

Congrats on the NSV!! They are the best, I think. My sticks are sitting in the corner gathering dust. I haven't swung them in over a year and I can't wait to see what 50lbs down will do for my swing. It's such a fun game and you wanna talk about an arm workout - oh yeah, you're already feeling it! :-)
