March Resolutions and a product to share

Time for March Resolutions...
I decided, since it is March 1st and I can't seem to get below 200, that I need to re-focus (again) and really figure out how to get past this hurdle... Sally mentioned in a comment on someone's blog, that we can do anything for a month (4 weeks, 28 days...), and she is right! Here are my goals for March:
  1. Measure my food (1/2 cup serving)
  2. REALLY listen to my hunger cues... i.e. head vs. true tummy hunger
  3. Cut out my daily glass of wine (at least during the work-week)
  4. Increase my water intake and make sure I'm getting in at least 64 oz. per day
  5. Make sure I'm getting at least 60 grams of protein a day (see below)
  6. Regular exercise to include getting in at least a third of my official race miles (3 out of the next 4 weekends I am signed up for a race)

As an effort to move toward more protein intake, I just tried a new protein product this morning... Special K has a Protein Water Mix (you add the mix to 24 ounces of water)... It wasn't bad! I bought both the Lemon Iced Tea mix, and the Strawberry Kiwi mix... I'm using the Iced Tea right now and it surprisingly decent (a little fibery, but easily ingested!). It has 5g Protein and 5g Fiber, PLUS you get in 24 oz. of water. Not a bad way to kill a few birds with one stone!!! I also like their Protein Shakes - not as chalky as some other ones! ~*~*~ We're going on a Cruise for Spring Break, so in 5 weeks, I would LOVE to be at a solid 195... I think I can do it! Fingers Crossed.

A cruise sounds delightful! We're shooting for a quickie weekend trip to Savannah sometime in May - I've always wanted to go there.

Beck - get a good job with lots of vacation time, and you can go on them too!!! (like you didn't just go to WDW & Jamaica???)

I'm rootin for ya Sarah! You can do it! I can't wait until I can be doing these same things. 22 more days until "Band Day". Yayy.
(I know I can be doing these things now but its not the same!)
