- I tried on a random pair of shoes on clearance (with a 2" heel girls!) that were NOT wide and they fit! So I bought them. (And I'm really not scared of heels anymore although I doubt I'll ever go much above 2")
- I tried on a XL dress and it was really cute. BUT TOO BIG! Definitely on top, and even a little bit on the bottom!
- I tried on an XL sweater... and it was too big too! Hurray!!!! And the large was really kind of too big too, but since it was a sweater and will go over something, I'm okay with that (plus they didn't have it in a medium on the clearance rack). I mean, for $8 I can't complain!
The top is definitely getting smaller and smaller if you don't count my chicken wings... Not so much on the bottom - but, I know slowly and surely it will happen. I picked two pairs of size 16 pants off the rack and they fit comfortably. I am a ways away from a 14 in bottoms (except skirts) and I still haven't found the courage to go into a store that doesn't go above size 16 (i.e. J.Jill or Ann Taylor) - maybe I'll think about it for fall clothes - and I still inevitably find myself going into the women's section and have to remind myself that, in fact, all women's sizes are now too big... but that was fun yesterday!

In other news, I head to St. Augustine tomorrow... Funeral is Friday. I think it is going to be incredibly difficult, BUT also affirming of what a fantastic life Michael lived. Talk to you all later this weekend!

Sarah - i bought 6 inch heels the other week and next time I see you I'll bring them and you HAVE to wear them! :)
OMG Becky - you're NUTS! Do you remember how easily I fell off your 4" heels?!?!?
I love the idea of heels now, and I have not lost nearly as much as you! I find that I love shoes and clothes in general a lot more!
I always seem to lose on top so much faster, that can be really annoying! I am in a 14/16 in shirts, but lucky if I can fit in normal 18's - ugh!
My thoughts are with you and your family. Please be sure to use this time on Friday to reconnect with everyone and remember what a wonderful person he was. Celebrate his life, I am sure he would want that. Hugs! <3
My thoughts and prayers will be with you all this weekend. Have a safe trip.
Those are some great NSV's.
I'll be thinking of you this weekend. Have a safe trip. Sending hugs your way.
I am the same way when I shop...going into the plus section.
I really think you need to record things like this so that you can look back at them. You DO read over your old posts, right? If not, you really should. The people reading your blog have been following your progress for so long that we all see the huge strides you've made and I'm not saying that you shouldn't be impressed with your accomplishments, I'm just thinking of how you have to KNOW that you're not an XL girl anymore.
Sure, for comfort, maybe. I understand that. But you are so toned now, you have to see that, feel that. Hell, you should have marched right up to those 14s and said, "OK, I understand that not all of you are going to be cooperative, but not every one of you is the exact same cut, so let's party and see who's willing to play."
LOL...
For everything that's been going on lately, I am very proud of your attitude. It's a sad time and you are grieving, but you're also taking care of Sarah. Good for you.
I was just at Kohls last night, I never used to be able to buy from the juniors dept...yay! Congrats on your NSV
