Jenny's blog reminded me (who was reminded by the other Jenny) that it is time to re-focus and re-set my goals... short-term is good, and between now and July 4th weekend seems to be reasonable... so here I go!
In fact, I'm off to get my water right now!
Started this one last night after the bday party this weekend...
No comment. Haven't been doing well here, hence the goal.
Don't forget you can make your own sticky notes here... Enjoy!
OK, I'm the granddaughter of a produce man, so here's some of the best ones which are low in calories, easily palatable and have at least a little protein.
1) Green Peas (for 1/3 cup serving, you have 70 calories and 5 grams of protein)
2) Italian Green Beans (1/3 cup has about 35 calories and 2 grams of protein)
3) Butternut Squash (1/2 cup has about 65 calories and while only 1 gram of protein, it is sweet and tasty just plain steamed!)
4) Artichoke hearts (IN WATER - 3 full hearts have only 25 calories and 1 protein but are good in dietary fiber and again - sweet when cooked to a tenderness... easy veggie to cook from the bottle too)
Play around with veggies, but you can get all of these frozen or the chokes in jars, all the more reason to get them and cook them because it will eliminate any reason NOT to cook them, they're so easy.
