Can I just say thank GOD for my band??? We went to the Chesterfield County Fair tonight, and on the way out,
we had a Fried Oreo. OH. MY. GOSH. I mean, it was "take-a-moment-for-yourself" good... and thankfully, the sweet boy running the stand let us buy just one. They were selling them 6 for $5, but I knew I WOULD eat all of them if left to my own devices, and since Dennis didn't want one, I decided to try to see if he'd bargain. And I was fully prepared to walk away if he said no. But, he looked at how damn cute Lucia is and said yes. So, we plunked down our $1, and walked away with a piece of heaven which we each got two bites of. YUM!
And the best part of it? I SHARED ONE. Didn't even have one to myself. Didn't need it, didn't want it... pre-band that wouldn't have happened

And how could you say no to that face??? We got our school haircuts today, and she decided to chop it off... I'm glad - she was looking to old for me (i.e. like a "tween" and not my sweet 6 year old baby)... I love this cut.
Tomorrow is another challenge from a food perspective - we'll be tailgating all day at the Jimmy Buffett concert... but I am going to practice self-restraint and positive head-talk and see how well I am able to do!

I went to the fair yesterday and enjoyed one too - I bought 7 for 6$, and my friends and I had one each, then we gave them to the Mr. Sausage man!

Love Lucia's hair!! Adorable. I have never had a fried oreo, but it's now on my must have list. I tailgated all day yesterday and I honestly think my band has a brain of it's own. I was totally fine leading up to yesterday. Took a train to Amherst. Had my typical iced coffee for breakfast. Got to my friends at 1pm, so hungry. Ate two crackers with peanut butter, stuck. SLIMING. Got to the game, drank four sips of beer. No more. Had a cookie, stuck. Ridiculous. So I gave up. Last night sat down at a restaurant and was able to eat four ribs. I think my band just knew that I might go a bit wild at the tailgate and so it literally shut it down. GRRR and yet YEAH at the same time. ;-)
