Whoo Hooo... I'm starting to get excited! Hard to believe, that exactly 5 days from now, I'll be run/walking my first official race! Well, other than the 1 mile I had to run to graduate from high school... LOL. I will definitely be the tortoise in the tortoise & hare story, but slow and steady will win the race for me! I think I'll be a bit faster than the snail in the picture. We'll see! I didn't do much last week, and definitely felt it this morning. Much more walking than running, and BOY IT WAS COLD! I think the thermometer read 33F... brrrrrrr... I never took off the jacket or hat, but it did feel good to do it and finish. This week is a busy one, between a bunch of work stuff and then getting ready for the bridal shower I'm hosting after the race on Saturday... I'm crazy! But I like it that way. Happy Monday!

The fact that you got out there at all in that weather is amazing!! By the way, I've been so caught up with surgery and everything that I never thanked you for the great clothes you sent me. LOVED the dress. One of the shirts was a bit tight but will hopefully fit soon, the other two were too large, so I will pass them on. Thank you again so much for sending them to me! Can't wait to hear all about the race.
Ahh wish I could be there on the sidelines - I would be the manic blond jumping and and down and screaming your name.. egging you on. You're going to do it, and you're going to do it with your heart bursting (with pride not the other lol). Look forward to the post that lets us know how you went :)

Good luck, I was terrified when I did mine, although I walked a lot! You will feel amazing when you reach the finish line :)
