360 and a Half hours and counting...
Until my first 5k race - The Mechanicsville Miler...Yes, that is really two weeks... but it seems a lot closer in hours! I'm getting both excited and nervous, but I have SO MUCH TO DO before it, that I dont' have a lot of time to worry about it which is a good thing. I am running a lot more than walking now. In fact, I was able to run a couple of 1/2 mile stretches this morning without having to stop for more than a few steps. Of course, I'm BEAT! But in a good way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Weight-wise, I'm up. Bummer. Up 1.8 pounds, back to 54.3 lost total. the 60 pound mark seems to elude me... it'll come. I'm glad that I go back in to see the doctor in about 10 days. I really hope they give me a fill. It can't come soon enough. I would call to get in sooner, but work is crazy so I figured I would just stick with what I have since I know it is on my calendar and I've scheduled around it. Off to another presentation today!
Yes, yes, yes!!!!!
I wonder if that 1.8 lbs is muscle, you've been upping your running so much and getting better, maybe that's your quadriceps getting stronger ;-)
And I have to say, I am waaaaay impressed. When I go away for work I miss workouts but you are one determined lady... and I love it!!!!!
I think Beth has it right -- it's probably muscle that is making the scale go up. Definitely take your measurements -- you may be surprised to see that you are losing inches!
That is so awesome about your 5K!! You go!! :)
Catherine
Whoops -- I mean Brooke, not Beth!
Wow, that is so amazing! I can't even imagine running...I hope I too can do that when I start losing! You are such a beautiful, classy, strong woman!!
Even if you're up, it might just be from the muscle that you're gaining from the running. That's a good thing! You're looking more sculpted in your newest pictures, so you have to step back and look at that and admire your hard work.
That 60 pound mark is right around the corner! You can do it!
I love that you've got the countdown going in hours! I think it's great that you're doing it. :)
You are doing great!! I was so afraid about doing my first 5K and I only planned to walk it with my weight watcher buddies! :-) You'll do just fine ~ I'm excited for you!
That 60 lb mark will come!! I have confidence in you and your ability to make it!!
;-)
Hi Sarah!!! Wow you are doing great! I love reading your blog, expecially about the conversations in your head between mean Sarah and New Sarah. You can tell New Sarah is definately winning. Way to go!!!
By the way, I grew up and graduated from high school in Front Royal, VA. Still my BF lives in Strasburg and still talk to her weekly. She got the lap first then she inspired me. Can't wait to hear all about your huge accomplishment in two weeks:)))
