I haven't seen this number in almost 2 decades...

219.2
wow.
PRE-RUN THOUGHTS: It's been at least since college that this number was on the scale, and that was 18+ years ago...This is a good way to wake up this morning before I go to run in 40 degree weather!
~~~~~
Also, I got filled yesterday... another 0.5, back to 5.5 cc's in a 10 cc band. Hopefully this, along with continued running, will help to get me off this plateau!
POST-RUN THOUGHTS: When it's 40 degrees out, and your running buddies are ahead of you and conversation is in your head, it is interesting the things you realize... like the fact that I've been at a heavier weight than this morning's for over HALF of my life. Like the fact that I never could actually move my body this way, 20, 30, 60 pounds ago. Hell, I could barely walk up the stairs. Like the fact that for a while there, I didn't really care a whole lot about myself. But now I do. Like the fact that I am so incredibly grateful for the friends I have who push me to go that extra 1/10 of a mile every day. What a good morning... And to top it off, since I run so early, I get to look at all the beautiful stars and constellations... and while looking at them this morning, at the very end of this morning's run (which BTW was further and longer than past ones) as I came down my street and into the cul-de-sac, I saw a SUPER-BRIGHT Shooting Star!
What a way to end a run and start the day.
I think God just might have been giving me a big thumbs's up this morning!
so amazing! I really want to be a "runner"...How far did you run when you were 1st starting to run with your friends??
Mary - I walked a block and ran a block, walked, ran, etc... Slowly I've built up to run two blocks, walk one, etc... They often times do it with me and then other times forge ahead and come back to get me...
Sarah- that was such an inspirational post !!! We are all sooo proud of you keep it going !!!
One question for you- how do you prepare to run in cold weather ?? I want to start running on the weekends but since the cold weather is approaching I have no idea what I need to prepare ??
Thanks all... For The Former Fat Girl (Name? couldn't find it on your blog), I layer... I got pants, and long-sleeve shirts (the kind that wick away water), and a jacket and hat and basically layer, layer, layer. Some days I take the jacket off, other days it all stays on! Good luck!
