Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?

No, I am not. According to my visit to the oh-so-kind eye doctor today, I am now at "the age" (which is apparently 37) where I am needing "reading support", i.e. bifocals. I think I glared at him so strongly that he suggested maybe a different pair of computer/reading glasses would be an option vs. the bifocal choice. REALLY? Bifocals? (large, because apparently I can't see this. Sigh ... BIG SIGH)... I never thought vanity was an issue for me until today. I'll take the second pair of glasses, thank-you-very-much (damn it). Jerk.

Don't worry.. no one will know the difference if you already where glasses, those new progressive lens that don't tell tale like the old ones.. believe me you will be thankful if they help you, instead of squinting (which causes wrinkles) Hang in there..
I started having to wear glasses to watch the movie at the cinema because the edges were blurry - so girl, I feel your pain!
I'm hearing ya! I just got reading glasses 2 months ago, and was told I was 'the age' for them ( I'm 39)
I chose them straight after the eye exam, and couldn't see properly because of the eye drops they gave me, lucky my partner was there & chose a nice pair of Prada frames!
LOL Sarah! I always wore glasses for an Astigmatism and finally had lasik surgery in 2007. The next morning I woke up and could'nt read the newspaper! WTF? Doctor said that I was the age for reading glasses, 44, and that the lasik sometimes speeds the need for readers up! You would have thought he would've mentioned that before the surgery?
My husband just got his first "progressives" a few weeks ago, and he had the same reaction, but he loves them now.
I would think 37 is way too young for bifocals....I joined up at Sarah's blog too....
from never wearing glasses my husband went to trifocals within a few years. they have the lenses were it is not noticable at all. unlike the old fashioned ones where there was the big line across the middle or the equally ugly ones with the half moon shape in the lenses at the bottom. if you need the glasses a lot for reading switching all the time to the second pair is a huge pain.
Definitely opt for progressive lenses, nobody will ever notice you have bifocals.
