My definition of a good WEEKEND...

13859
goes something like this... SATURDAY:
  • Wake up to Lucia snuggling me (unfortunately she managed to kick Dennis out of bed sometime in the middle of the night)
  • Coffee - copious amounts - this morning
  • Sitting on the screened in porch surfing on my laptop in my PJ's while Dennis reads and Lucia plays
  • Dream about what "2nd house" we'll buy when I win Mega Millions (and then unfortunately realizing I didn't win - but no one else did either!)
  • Go to Bass Pro Shops to get life jackets for the canoe Dad is giving us next weekend
  • Go to a really nice playground and sit in the shade while watching Lucia play make-believe - and there is a fantastic breeze blowing - just perfect weather
  • Do the last two driving around in the Jeep with the top down
  • Come home, have a great lunch including salt and cracked-pepper kettle chips (YUM!) and realize I am at a good place with restriction
  • Take the girl scout troop to the SPCA to donate $150 from their cookie sales and play with the animals
  • Get Home, pour a pre-dinner glass of wine and prep to go out to a dear friend's for an adults-only dinner...

SUNDAY:

  • Went to a little country church with some friends and really enjoyed the people and coffee hour
  • Took Lucia and a friend to check out their summer camp (they are going to a 2 night / 3 day overnight camp) - and got to go canoeing, see the cabins, dining hall, eat s'mores
  • Had dinner with her friend's family
  • Came home to be able to spend the evening with everyone on the cul-de-sac, watching the kids run thru the sprinklers and just chat, laugh and hang out...

PHENOMENAL weekend! Picture perfect...It really doesn't get much better! Life is really, really good... :-)

Sounds great. I spent the day shopping with my daughters. Hubby rode motorcycle to Richmond for NASCAR race.

That sounds lovely! My day was spent going to the gym and sweating my butt off on the treadmill for 1/2 hour which felt so good. After that, I went and hung out with my neighbors and their new pet baby pig - SO adorable. And then my husband and I went out for crab for dinner...mmmm...
