Death by Mojitos and Flashlight Tag

Damn you Tim... you make a good Mojito!  They went down FAR to easily.  In all seriousness, we've had a wonderful weekend... We finally got around having a street deck-warming party, and just had a great time last night.  Usually our cul-de-sac has a cookout at Memorial Day or July 4th but this year it didn't happen, so I used that as an excuse to invite everyone over to see the new deck/screened in porch.  We ended up having about 20 people over including the kids, and Lucia played outside in the dark for really the first time.  I mean, she's been outside in the dark before but always right near us - last night, there were 5 kids just playing flashlight tag (or something with flashlights), finding lightning bugs, and generally having one of those really memorable "kid" summer nights while we parents hung out on the screened porch.  I just have such fond memories of being outside with all the sounds that summer brings... I'm glad that Lu got to do that lat night.  It was a great time.

We also yesterday morning went to the annual Hanover Tomato Festival - well known in these parts for some great tomatoes (although not nearly as good as South Jersey Tomatoes).  Got a large bag - easily about 15 pounds.  Not sure what I'm going to do with ALL of them, but I can guarrantee you there is at least one tomato pie coming out of it this afternoon!  Now I just need to get the fresh basil, and we'll be in business.

On the scale front, I'm not moving too much - bouncing around 235 - 237 area.  Up.  Down.  Up.  Down.  Up.  However, it is completely MY issue - too many nice evening cocktails this last week.  So, since we were cleaned out on the drinks front last night, I am not stocking up for a while.  Just good old H2O for me for a while and we'll see what happens.  No major food issues, just more drink issues.  However, I am going to take full responsibility for those choices, and we'll see what happens!
Hope you all had a great weekend.
