My cousin, Rebecca is getting married. Originally it was going to be next December (2010), but she decided now that it will be THIS December 5th in Iowa. I've been a bit clueless and didn't make that connection, but my mother thankfully reminded me last night. Lucia is going to be her flower girl, so the fact that it is 4 months away now - yikes! Not that I have to do anything for it except make sure Lucia gets there in the dress, but I now have "an occasion" to get ready for! We never go anywhere fancy anymore (i.e. dress up), so I can't wait to have this as a goal for losing more weight - and the thought of getting to buy a new, pretty party dress... yippee! Let's see. I'm 45.3 pounds down as of this morning. 4 months away... so realistically, I think I can be somewhere in the 60 pounds down range. About a pound a week if I can keep going! Something to shoot for.

You'll knock em dead! How many family/friends will be there that haven't seen you since you've been banded? What a great motivator. And thanks again for the care package. I can't wait to pay some of my stuff forward!

Always great to dress up for a party and you will knock them dead when they see how slim you are getting...and I am sure Lucia will look adorable and feel like a princess! You can do it!

Aha! I have two really great wedding-appropriate dresses that I've only worn once or twice. I thought would look great on you, but you will be too thin for them by the wedding! :)
