Giving Thanks...

Ahhhh... it's beginning to look a lot like Turkey... everywhere I go... (OK - no more singing to my blog). I have a feeling that this year is going to be a lot different than last year, don't you?!?!? So here are a few lap-band related (and not) things that I am thankful for, going into the holidays...
  1. That this year, I can no longer over eat by multiple plates...
  2. That I can enjoy a taste of everything without feeling overly guilty about eating things I shouldn't be...
  3. That even if I DO eat a few bites too much, my band will do its job and remind me to stop!
  4. As long as I wear pants that fit correctly to dinner, I won't have to undo the button on them...
  5. That I have had such a good experience these last 9 months with this tool... and that I am really excited about getting healthy!
  6. That there is a chance, that if I eat my protein first, I might just be able to lose weight over the holidays!
  7. That I have such an amazing support network of family and friends
  8. That I live in a country that is free

OK - enough for now... back to work and wishing everyone in the US a wonderful Thanksgiving-to-be!

Sarah, man...you are so good at reminding me of things sometimes. Here is an example. This thanksgiving day I may eat MORE then I do on a normal "banded" day, but it will be nowhere NEAR what I ate last year! I might eat one plate this year...but not three!

Thanksgiving is just going to be strange!!! I will admit, I was a stuffingaholic. Will be interesting to see if I can handle a bite of it this year!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving Sarah!

Good reminders-- It's only been about 4 months but I forget how much I used to be able to pack away! Thanks to the band that is drastically reduced now and that's truly something to be thankful for :-)
