Sometimes, it is the little things that are big...

So, I'm getting ready to call it a night. Glad that it is the weekend. And I open an email from one of my best friends, Kristi, and she emails me about my earlier post... I'm going to quote now...

(From Kristi to me): I have to pass on this to-the-point-unedited-slightly-rude (?) remark by Elin (her 6 year old daughter). She's here next to me, and when I opened up this email (last post) she gasped and said "mommy look! She's not fat anymore!" There you have it from the mouth of a babe, can only tell the truth. She hasn't seen pictures of you since she saw you in July, so it's obviously a huge change to her.

Thank you Elin! And Kristi especially thank you for sharing that with me... I love you guys... Thank you. I love, love, love the honesty of kids. Sometimes it hurts, but I love it. And this is a great way to end my night and start my weekend (and motivate me to get up and run tomorrow AM). And I hope I keep it up for her, for Lucia, for ME! So Kristi, please give her a big FAT hug as a thanks!!!

BTW - the last time Elin saw me was here... Guess it might be time to change my picture!!! LOL

That's great Sarah- it truthful, but not mean coming from little ones. A couple months back a classmate of Cate's asked if I got my baby out!?! I took it as a compliment.
Have a great weekend!

LOL, kids really do say the truth, but when it is a positive one, you can't help but smile (for real) not the fake smile you put on when a comment actually hurts!

You may not be able to see it in yourself yet, but I have news for you. You are not fat anymore. Maybe just a little overweight. You look great!
