In the spirit of Election Day, I need your vote! I have my cousin's wedding to go to in a little over 4 weeks... So, I've been dress shopping. And I got these two possible dresses (on clearance, mind you! Total of $35 for BOTH of them! I love a great bargain or two...). All that being said, which one to wear? THE POLL IS TO YOUR LEFT, AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG!!!

Here is a bit of info on each dress... I'll be honest - the plum one is a bit snug, but it does give me something to work toward over the next 4 weeks... and the black-and-white one is a bit more sassy than I've EVER worn before - I feel a bit out of my element... The plum is a straight cut with a bit of spandex, and I DO have a pair of Spanx on underneath both dresses. The black-and-white has sparkly things sewn into the waist band and is much more "flowey"... The plum is more formal, the b&w a bit more casual. Oh, and I have a black pashmina to wear with whichever I end up with. (BTW - I reserve the right to make the final decision!!! )

So what to do and what to wear? I am HARDLY a fashionista... I stick with basic colors, and if I had my way I'd wear crocs or birkenstocks for the shoes - However, rest assured I've been silently threatened by my neighbor that I now HAVE to buy cute shoes. The colors are Ivory, Green and Black for the wedding. Lu is the flower girl, and her dress is Ivory with a green sash. Wedding is December 5th, and I'm hoping to get a good family picture out of it! So... VOTE! (And I welcome honest comments too... I want to look good - although many of my family has already seen me, darn it I want to FEEL and look great!)

Next on the list is to find a pair of cute black heels to wear with whatever the choice! And I'm not going to return either dress - if I don't wear one, it'll give me something to work toward for any X-mas parties we might get invited too!!!

First of all you look FANTASTIC! Look at your tiny little waist. I'll vote in the poll, but I LOVE the black and white one. It's just such a great look and you look gorgeous!
I really like the black and white ! the dress in it's self is beautiful but I think it really accentuates your body type and frames your new figure wonderfully.
Well fashion-wise the B&w is more flattering RIGHT NOW! It hits you on your smallest and flows out camoflauging anything you might dislike. The plum one is a GREAt color on you and a good shape as well. It shows how small you are, makes you look smaller than the b&w one BUT it's too snug! So Ithink it'd be best to wait until a few days before, redo pics and see how you feel! The plum one may be more flattering by then, you never know!

Oooh, I LOVE the black and white dress on you - it shows off your little waist and slim shoulders and the flowy skirt is the perfect length for a sassy pair of heels to lengthen your legs (we could all do with that!!) I like the plum but my vote is def for the first. You're going to look HOT HOT HOT!

Brooke is on to something -- I have the one she is talking about (you attach it to your own bra), and it works WONDERS. I love the first dress, but reserve the right to change my vote depending on how the plum fits in 4 weeks!

Sarah! I never forgot about you and that black dress I wore on the cruise. i would totally send it to you tomorrow if you want it. However, I think it will be too big for you. It is a size 16, but I wore it at a size 20 (close to 18). It runs big and you are smaller then me. Tell me if you still want me to send it. I love both of them. I vote for the black and white one though...but in 4 weeks...who knows! I am just proud of you for stepping outside of your comfort level. Now, for the shoes...but some come catch me heels! Sexy little things!
