Peeps, peeps, and my peeps

Lucia and her Great Mom-Mom on Easter Sunday
(Lu is 4, Mom-Mom is 90)
Peeps. Love them! And I am REALLY proud of myself. I only ate three of them (so far) this weekend. I was a little worried about how I would do this weekend. We only went to my parents house, but I didn't bring any (or much) food with me, trusting that I would make it work with whatever my folks had. Thankfully, it did for the most part.
I had a few instances of feeling a bit stuck. The worst one was on Saturday after we got home from taking my daughter to see the new Hannah Montana Movie. As an aside, it was REALLY cute. She loved it, and we all cried in the middle of it (Lucia, me, and my mom). Dennis just looked at us like we were all crazy. We'll be buying that one, AND the soundtrack. Sappy, yes, crazy, maybe. At any rate, we had some left over hoagies which had gone down fine on Friday (note people: They are HOAGIES! not subs, not sandwiches, not grinders. HOAGIES! You can take the South Jersey girl out of Jersey, but you can't make me call a hoagie anything but that. And don't even get me started on Cheesesteaks, which I haven't been daring enough to try yet). I cut myself a slice on Saturday, about an inch wide, and took a bite. Chewed really well... but alas, cold hoagie rolls do not go down so well. I didn't PB, but got up, walked around a bit, got the cold sweats and shivers (first time that happened), went upstairs, sat down on my bed, stood up, paced, sat back down, and thought "crap", among other things! Then I got the hiccups. Nothing better than hiccuping and being stuck. But, it worked... I became unstuck, although not without some pain! Another aside - has anyone noticed that if they eat too much or get stuck, they get pain in one particular place? Mine is in my back under my left shoulder blade. Weird.
Saturday night, I got to see one of my best friends, Kristin (just one of my peeps!)... we had a wonderful dinner with her family, and our girls got to play and put on all kinds of shows for us... very fun! And thank-you Matt, for toasting my buns so they didn't get stuck!!! We all played with their Wii, and I think we may just have to get one of those. It was a VERY fun thing to do as a family!!! Sunday, we got to spend at home with my folks and my grandmother, who is 90. Thankfully, Lucia and she were able to spend some nice time together. Lu snuggled right up to her during church, drew her some pictures, we all had dinner, then took naps. I can't think of a much better day! I've included some pictures below of us.
Family Picture: Den, Sarah & Lu
(I like how I am looking from the waist up)
4 Generations... Me, Dad, Lucia and Mom-Mom
(This is one of those pictures, that in looking at it, I would DEFINITELY crop! However, I need to keep myself honest and remind myself that although I'm losing from the head down, I still have a LONG way to go on these thighs!!!)
I do notice my weight loss in my face and neck. That is where I feel like I can see it the most. Not so much in the tummy/butt/thigh area... but it will come. I'm hoping that it skips the girls on the way down the body. And thankfully, everyone who saw me this weekend, who hadn't seen me in a while told me that they can see it. That makes me happy. I have to keep reminding myself that I didn't put it on 2 pounds a week! It won't come off that quickly. At any rate, I think the weekend was a success overall. I didn't overeat. I did eat too quickly a few times - have to really check myself on that area, but I did well. Everything was done in moderation. I haven't weighed myself yet since I've been home, but I'll do that tomorrow morning. I am hoping to see the scale start moving some more this week! I have my alarm clock set to get up and start exercising tomorrow morning before work. My other promise to myself, is to be better about measuring my food this week. I think I'm eating more than I should be. Hope it all works! I'll keep you posted.

We took C to see Hannah Montana on Saturday too. It was a bear to do on the liquid diet, lol. That smell of popcorn is STRONG!

You look great!!!

Hey Sarah- I have pics that I want to crop too... and even after a 48 pound loss, I still want to crop some of them! Point is- we will always be our own worst critics and we always look better then we think. In every pic that I want to crop, my boyfriend thanks that it's the best photo of me... we are our own worst critic.
