Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Yuck. It's raining again. At least it was BEAUTIFUL this weekend!!! We had such a great couple of days. Friday night, we went to see Dave Matthews - what a GREAT concert!!! Although I felt a bit old with the college students around. Saturday was soccer for Lucia, then we watched a friend's daughter and took her, along with another friend's son, to the Richmond Zoo. It was really fun! A lot of walking... those three 4 year olds were POOPED OUT at the end! Then an impromptu picnic dinner on the lawn, and yesterday Lucia and I planted about a dozen plus new plants in the yard. We have a lot more roots and rocks in our yard than I realized! I have to say - I haven't done yardwork in easily 4 or more years. I used to either not do it at all, or pay someone to do stuff like that. I am noticing that since the surgery, I am feeling so much more energy than I've previously had. I mean, I've lost this much weight before, but somehow it is different this time around. My energy level keeps moving the right direction, which I don't notice until doing something like yardwork, where I would have completely avoided it in the past. I think maybe it is because I am consciously eating so much better than I have before. When you can't have a whole lot, you have to make semi-wise choices! I'm not questioning it - I am enjoying it! Yay! On a side note, I have noticed that I am able to eat a bit more than last week. Glad I have a fill next Monday.
