Up, but still trying

Well, I'm a bit disappointed.  I'm up 1.2 pounds.  VERY frustrating since half the week I couldn't eat anything, then I had more fluid taken out than I was hoping for and I'm able to eat more than I want to now.  If history is any indication though, hopefully next week I'll be back on a good downward slope.  The good part about losing fluid is that my heartburn/acid reflux seems to have abated by about 90%.  The not-so-good news is that I'm able to eat.  Two scrambled eggs and cheese last night and hashbrowns.  Before would have just been the eggs, and not even all of them.  Oh well - I need to make sure my mind is really in the game for the next few weeks until my next check up and that I'm not only relying on the tightness of my band to tell me when to stop.  I need to rely on my brain too.

I ran/walked again this morning with my friend Ali.  I went further this morning, and did it faster than Wednesday so that is an accomplishment I think!  2.5 miles, and I would say I ran about 1 mile of it.  So, now to a more regular schedule.  And LuLu, thanks for the heads' up about downloading the music for the Couch-2-5K training!  I love hip hop, so this will be great.   For anyone else interested in it, click HERE for the website (it doesn't have the best title IMHO) to download music that has the breaks worked in on when to walk and when to run.  Happy Friday everyone!

I am in the same boat as you sister with the unfill. I do have restriction, but not like before the unfill, but we want to take care of our bodies and our band, so I know we did the right thing. It just means we have to rely on ourselves more and who wants to do that...jeesh! lol

you are doing so good with the running!

You will be back down soon! This is where the running comes in...it will save you a little bit from the additional eating with your unfill. Keep it up!

Thanks so much for the link, I will use that when I'm healed up a little more and hopefully down a few more lb's....

I really like what you're saying about not relying on the band for "fullness" while eating. Right now I usually wait until the band signals "stop" but I think maybe that's the equivalent of the band letting me know it's reached maximum capacity, lol!

My first fill is this weekend and I'm gonna try to practice mindful eating when I'm back on solids to get into the habit.

Your running is soo inpsiring, you'll never know just how much it has gotten me excited to try again!

C25K is a wonderful program, I did it a year ago and still love to run today. WTG on starting a new endeavor!
