Wild...a weird, but accurate, first

OK - for those of you who have had WLS, you know that if we're at our "sweet spot" we're supposed to be able to eat 1/2 a cup, or about the size of a hard boiled egg worth of food. For you non WLS folks, the premise of weight loss surgery is that your stomach is adusted (or cut in the case of gastric bypass) to a size of an egg - So approximately 4 oz. is all it can hold. I've definitely been tighter in the last week or so than before (no adjustment though), only managing about 1/2 a cup max of food at a time. Today for lunch, I hopped over to Wawa and got hard-boiled eggs (this is just one reason I love them... they sell a pair of eggs for $1... can't beat that!). So, I ate one and felt pretty full. Stupidly, I decided that I hadn't had enough (clearly an example of listening to my head and not my stomach) and tried to eat the other one. NOT HAPPENING! I am really, really full! I can feel it pushing on the nerves in my back. I can honestly say that this is the first time that all I've eaten was an egg and I'm full. Guess I really am at the right restriction!

That is great, Sarah! Congrats!! I just had my first fill today, so the concept of being at the right restriction is foreign.

2 hard boiled eggs for a buck? That is AWESOME! I *heart* hard boiled eggs. So far in 6 weeks of being banded, the only time I thought I was going to PB was from a hard boiled egg. :)

Keep up the great work!

Niiice!

Gotta love that. Okay I am also going to confess to some ignorance here. A hard boiled egg is 4 oz? Whoa. I had no idea.... I would have said 2 oz.

Brooke - I have no idea how big a HBE is, but it filled me up BIG time!!!

Do you think this is your sweet spot?
