Allergies suck - but I had an NSV this AM!

Hi all - Can I just say I hate allergies?!?!? At least, I think that is what I hate. I feel miserable. SORE throat - could barely swallow oj this morning. Left work early yesterday and came home and crashed for 1.5 hours - woke up with drool on my cheek! This morning, still a sore throat... but I don't feel like I have a cold. I did kick myself out of bed at 5:30am to go to Curves - this seems to be working well so far... going on 2 weeks and I've made it at least 3 times each week so far... and it feels good after I am done! My excitement this AM was that I decided, on a whim, to try on some clothes that I had bought in a smaller size. So I held up this really cute summer skirt that is teal blue with navy blue butterflies printed on it (kind of looks like tie dye - hard to explain)... It is so "not me" in terms of style (i.e. it is pretty hip), colors, and length (it is at my knee vs. my ankles). It is a size 20 - and I thought, "no way, not going to happen" and put it down. But something made me pick it up and try it on regardless - and guess what??? It fit! And I don't even have to suck anything in - it zippered up perfectly!!! I haven't worn a size 20 in gosh - over 8 years I think!!! Rock on. Whooo Hoooo! A size 20! I have to say though I am feeling like I'm a bit of a poser... I do not normally wear skirts - I've tended to hide myself in pants, because the thighs don't chafe as much that way... so I am a bit uncomfortable. Not because it hurts, but because I am wearing something WAY out of my comfort zone - color, length (it is above my knees) and style. It is VERY cute and flirty and not at ALL the kind of clothes that I've hid myself in for the last 10 years (think neutrals, black and navy "uniforms", nothing to draw attention to myself!!!). The next test will be to see if the thighs fit into size 20 pants. One step at a time! So, less than 3 months, and 2 skirt sizes down so far. I like it!

Sara your thread must be too tight, or try polyester thread. Don't you give up, you are not a quitter.

Take a picture of yourself in your new skirt and post it! Good job.

you can always wear some spanx shorts under your skirt...that way your thighs dont chaffe. Or, vagisil makes this anti-chaffining cream...it works!

And yes...now you have to take a picture of the new skirt....on you!
